I am loving this set!
Next time I use this set I think I will do the center of the flower a different color; I still like how this turned out.
Ink Baja Breezes, Not quite navy, old olive, river rock.
I made the ribbon using white ribbon and I rubbed it in Not quite navy.

Good bye Christmas Cards!
So fun to stamp something other than Christmas. I love doing Christmas cards but after 40 to 50, I am ready to move on.
I bought this stamp set in November and this is the first time using it. For this card I brayed Soft sky first that I brayered Baja Breezes on the lover half and then used a sponge around the edges. I then sponged a little more with Not Quite navy. The grass is stamped with Not Quite Navy. The stamp set is Inspired by Nature.

Let it snow!
I pulled out my paints and paint brushes for this one. You can buy a canvas at the dollar store for a dollar, I think they are about 8X10. It was fun to paint again, release some creative juices into over areas. I have a really hard time painting anything without seeing a picture. I would really like to get out of the box and start creating. Maybe that will be my New Years resolution.

Canvus stamp a must have!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't have the canvas background stamp, get it! Seriously it is a must have, I have used mine over and over again, it is my very loved background set.
Other must haves:
With Gratitude ( leaves )
Bronc Buster ( horse, I love this set, I use it often when making male cards)
Wonderful words
Baby Jesus is Born
There are others that I love also but these are my favorites. You would be surprised at how many people frantically look for these sets after they retire. So if there is something that you think you should get, there is no better time then now. Free shipping, and 10% off of all retired sets, until Dec 23, I will put my order in on the 22nd.

Having fun!
I love making cards that I don't have to mail. If the envelope is to thick or too heavy the post office charges twice as much for postage. So I have learned the hard way, that when you are making over 20 cards they should be simple without a lot of layers or embellishments. So now I can have a little fun. For the snow effect I used liquid appliqué.

Flaky Friends
For this card I used the designer Christmas paper in the Holiday mini. This has been the most used stamping set. My next favorite, which I haven't bought, YET, would be the Holiday Lineup in the fall and winter 2008 catty; so cute!

Teacher and friend gifts
My 11 year old daughter makes the best toffee, so we took about four hours yesterday making toffee and then I spent the day today packaging them. I used the pillow box die cut, with a window sheet. We made about 30 with toffee to spare.

Christmas Cards!
Well, it has been a long time since I posted. I made 7 calendars for Christmas presents, this took about one month. Everybody loves getting them and I think it is one of those things that once you start you can never stop.
Anyways here is the main Christmas cards that I did this year. This is a combination of several different cards that I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com.
I cut the oval with my coluzzle cutting system. I stamped the skaters and then colored them in with my versa marker, and then clear embossed them.
I used the brayer to create the mirror image. Sorry I am really bad at doing tutorials they require a lot of time and I admire those who take the time one of my favorite blogs is Zindorf, There is a link under my fav. blogs.
