Fall has arrived!

Fall has arrived and with it more time to craft.  I didn't realize how consuming living on an acreage would be, I love it but there is seriously no extra time for crafting.  This morning there was frost on the ground, thankfully I brought in the tomatoes yesterday.  I also made three cards which hasn't happened for months; it was hard to get my creative juices flowing!

For these cards I used Photo paper and embossed the background with clear embossing powder.  I then sprayed the paper with ink sprays made up of Stampin Up's ink refills and rubbing alcohol. I used Tempting Turquoise, old olive and daffodil delight. On the card below I used crystal effects to make water drops.

It's hard to tell from these pictures but the finally effect looks like a photo because I used photo paper.  Do not make your ink sprays with water, water doesn't react well with photo paper.

 

 

Resist technique!

I thought it was time to do some cards!

I still need to journal today because I am GRUMPY, oh my!!

Journaling seems to bring me peace but I am not even sure if I can go there today!

I do have reasons to be grumpy but I won't go into all the details but

those that have teenagers probably understand.

Lets just say I am counting down the days, lol!

I really don't get the parents that are all sad when their kids leave home;

it is a time to celebrate!!

The best part of parenting is the grand kids!

My grandson is sooooooo sweet and when he does something wrong it just makes me laugh!

Here he is in his Easter Outfit; isn't he the sweetest thing ever?

Okay I am feeling less grumpy now.

Back to the cards:

For these cards I stamped the image with Versa Mark,

then embossed the image with clear embossing powder.

Then I just smeared color, until I had the look I liked.

In this card I used Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

In the other two cards I used Tangerine Tango and Pumpkin Pie.

I also sprayed the card with, Gold Smooch Spritz.

 

 

Watercolor Magic

I love the end result of this technique, it's a simple way to release some creativity! 



Stamp sets: Pursuit of happiness, Inspired by nature

Cardstock: Very vanilla, watercolor paper

acessories: Watercolor crayons, tangerine tango button, lace ribbon

you take and color right on the stamp with the watercolor crayons, colors of your choosing, for this card I used, old olive, tangerine tango, daffodil delight, pumpkin pie.  After you have colored the whole stamp, take a water bottle and spritz the stamp, until the colors start to blend, then stamp on your watercolor paper. 


 

I am loving this set!

Next time I use this set I think I will do the center of the flower a different color; I still like how this turned out.

I made the ribbon using white ribbon and I rubbed it in Not quite navy.

Good bye Christmas Cards!

So fun to stamp something other than Christmas. I love doing Christmas cards but after 40 to 50, I am ready to move on.
I bought this stamp set in November and this is the first time using it. For this card I brayed Soft sky first that I brayered Baja Breezes on the lover half and then used a sponge around the edges. I then sponged a little more with Not Quite navy. The grass is stamped with Not Quite Navy. The stamp set is Inspired by Nature.
